The Voisin de Caters, the making of

This pioneer aircraft celebrate the first Belgian pilot.

This publication contains more that 100 illustrations most of them in color.

The Voisin de Caters by Dragan Saler

Since many years now, Dragan Saler help us by producing 3D drawings of aircraft we are restoring. For the Voisin de Caters, Dragan produced 38 pieces of art. These drawings were intensively used as reference during the manufacturing of the aircraft and constantly updated during the project. This luxurious edition is available in very limited edition (40) for our sponsors.

Stampe SV-4 Drawings : In 2005, both the Fonds National Alfred Renard and the Bamf collaborated to scan, index and store in digital format 1527 drawings about the Stampe & Renard SV4 more details here

La Conquête de l'Air 1909 to 1914 :We scanned all the issues of “La conquête de l’Air” from 1909 to August 1914.This newspapers was the oldest Belgian aviation related publication. The Museum had already some issues of this period in paper form. This complete digital copy was offered to the Museum to cover the pioneers period. The digital media will also ensure the preservation for future use.

Voisin de Caters documentation and drawings

All the drawings, pictures and notes used for the building of the de Caters replica are archived in digital media for preservation and future use. This way the documentation can also be shared with other Museums or organizations working on similar projects quickly and at low costs.
